I thought I would mention that I am a huge Watchmen fan. It all began 3 months ago when Cynthia gave me the graphic novel for Christmas. So naturally I was interested in the movie and I carefully followed the developments surrounding its possible release. Flash forward to March 7th and we got a chance to see it thanks to a complicated agreement between Fox and Warner Bros.
The movie is good but I should say that it's good because of it's devotion to the style and content of the comic. Which means that blood, gore, sex, and nudity are very prominent in the narrative. So the guy who doesn't wear clothes in the comic also doesn't wear clothes on screen which presents the viewer with a giant blue dong at times. And the gore made Cynthia cover her eyes about half a dozen times.
They changed the ending a lot but it works for the time frame given. This is the only disappointment for me, but I understand why they did it. For fans of Metal Gear Solid, it is interesting to note that David Hayter wrote the screenplay. He is the voice of Solid Snake and its a little ironic that Rorschach shares the same dialect.
Anyways, go see the movie if you want to see a good comic book film translation. Otherwise go see Street Fighter.

I was browsing Kotaku today and came across a story about World of Whorecraft. It's a pron series based on WOW and produced by Whorelore. Pretty funny stuff and apparently the producers are geeks because they even have a guild in the new MMO Age of Conan.

So this is kind of funny. The Penny Arcade guys are getting back into WoW. It all started when one of the guys gave the other guy a Figure Print coupon. These guys are always playing the latest and greatest games so it's funny to see them still talking about a 3+ year old game.

I went to the doctor last night which was really the first opportunity I've had since I started feeling crappy. He says I have bronchitis and now I'm hyped up on hydrocodone (eg Vicodin) and antibiotics. If any of you guys out there catch it due to me I truly am sorry. I would have stayed home if I had known it was this bad. So please stay healthy and go to the doctor if you start getting really sick.
